The 21st Century Doors:
Post Gazette Pavilion,
Pittsburgh, PA
June 22, 2003

by Angie Phillips

Hey guys and gals I just wanted to let you all know that my husband and I saw "The 21st Century Doors" this past Sunday--June 22nd, 2003, at the Post-Gazette Pavilion in Burgettstown, PA.

What a great show the guys put on and Ian's performance was awesome. I'll tell you that as a long time fan of "The Doors," when Ian came out on stage and began singing I was in tears, literally. Jim would be so proud!

It was so nice to get to see Ray and Robby on stage again and the new drummer and bass player did a fine job also. The band performed just a few minutes shy of two hours and the cost of the ticket was well worth it.

We had tickets in the 5th row. Right before the last three songs were performed Ian told everyone to come close to the stage because there was a lot of room up there. We rushed up to the stage and we were able to touch Ian's hand.

I just can't get Ian's performance out of my mind--it will linger for quite some time I am sure of that. So if anyone out there is contemplating not getting tickets for any of the upcoming shows I must urge you to get your tickets now!
