When I saw in the Strange Days Newsletter that the Doors 21st Century were to be performing in Orlando, only a few hundred miles from here, I was ecstatic! I got online with Ticketmaster the moment tickets went on sale and scored two 2nd row/Center seats for a mere $250 bucks apiece. (we coulda had FRONT row/Center if I hadn't wavered on the cost..... silly me) Anyway, the concert was amazing, and we loved every single wonderful moment of it. Ian apparently channeled Jim the entire time and was the perfect front man - so much energy and talent, while Ray and Robbie were their usual FABULOUSLY FANTASTIC selves. (Robbie, you wailed on Spanish Caravan!)

As a perk for paying the big bucks, we got to stay after the show to "Meet and Greet" the band. Thank you guys for being so friendly and gracious while I gushed on and on about how much I loved the concert, and you, and how "Look, I brought this American Poet Ttshirt that Waylon signed for me at the concert in Destin" and would you all please sign it for me too (Ray, after much deliberation, signed across Jim's chest), and how I chased Robbie to his car and he wouldn't even look at me (apology accepted, Robbie :O), and how I have a 22 year old son named Ian also, and don't you just love a good strong Scottish name, and, and.... well you get the picture. It was all just so great and so overwhelming that we will never forget it, not in a million, zillion years. Thank you so much for that. PLEASE come back to Florida really soon 'cause we will definitely be there again..... this time FRONT row/center, I can assure you. Can't wait!
