Privileges for the use of 'doors.com' are extended by TDM Inc. to registered users for the sole purposes of sending and receiving e-mail. The use of 'doors.com' is conditional upon the registered user's adherence to generally accepted netiquette. Misuse or misrepresentation of 'doors.com,' the Doors name, or The Doors Collectors Magazine (The DCM) will not be tolerated but will result in the automatic repeal of privileges without refund for lost service. There will be no exceptions!
Failure to observe these rules means an immediate termination of your service without any sort of refund.2) GETTING STARTED: Your new 'doors.com' email address is a virtual address - which means it is a reflector of e-mail from someuser@doors.com to the user's regular e-mail account. This means that a user of the 'doors.com' address must already be a user of an existing internet service provider before signing on with 'doors.com'.
3) NAMES: Names shall be limited to eight (8) characters or less. Use of the names DCM, TDM, or variations of The Doors Collectors Magazine is prohibited. Names of the existing Doors, i.e., ray; rmanzarek; robby; robbie; rkrieger; john; jdensmore, or variations thereof, are also prohibited.
4) CONFIGURING THE DOORS.COM RETURN E-MAIL ADDRESS: Normally, all the commercial e-mail programs allow the user to configure the return e-mail address from within a configuration menu in the program. TDM is not set up to assist in the changeover, however, the change is generally an easy one to make. For those on AOL, Prodigy, or other wide service providers the 'doors.com' address will work but will not be represented in the "from" line on outgoing e-mails or postings. In this case it is suggested that a signature file be set up to let others know you can be e-mailed at the 'doors.com' address.
5) TRIAL PERIOD: New users have three (2) days from assignment of the 'doors.com' address in which to examine its functionality, and to cancel for any reason without charge. No refunds will be given after this trial period for any reason.
6) REPROGRAMMING: In the event that a registered 'doors.com' user switches local internet provider, the 'doors.com' address will be reprogrammed by TDM Inc. with the new receiving e-mail address, one time per year, at no cost. Additional reprogramming can be done for $5 each time.
7) PAYMENT: The use of 'doors.com' is offered at $100 for a life long account (as long as TDM Inc owns 'doors.com' its virtual mailbox 'lifers' will have their accounts).
