This VINTAGE out of print first edition poster is an official release of The Doors Music Company. The photograph for this 24x36 poster was taken in 1968 by Doors photographer, Paul Ferrara. Jim was captured in a rare moment with sunlight falling on his shoulders in front of the Observatory in Griffith Park in Los Angeles, California. If you have any edition of this poster printed after 1998 then it is of inferior quality. These posters are the original first printings and the colors are brilliant and there is no cropping!
This poster marks the only time another artist's poetry has been authorized to appear with Morrison's image. A New Epitaph for Pere Lachaise was written in 1993 by poet and journalist, Jan Eloise Morris.
