Germany was the very first country to issue a commemorative stamp in honor of Jim Morrison in 1988 - I've been out of these stamps for two years until recently when I found a dealer who still had three sheets in their stash. Republique Du-Congo Stamp Sheet featuring Doors This former French Colony that is found in Central Africa, gained it's independance in 1960. This interesting sheet came out last year in 2007 and were postmarked on their day of release. This sheet features 4 of the stamps - each with a photo of a Door, One group shot and the last, the famous "Arms" picture of Morrison. Cond: M.

Republique Du-Benin Stamp Sheet featuring Doors and The D21C This small African country which is bordered by Togo to the West and Nigeria to the East just came out earlier this year with this limited edition stamp set featuring one color and one B&W stamp of the Doors, one B&W stamp of Morrison and his dog Sage, and lastly one color photo of Ian Astbury of The D21C. This is probably the only stamp featuring both Doors old and new that you will ever see. I only got in 15 sheets of these - when these are gone, you probably wont see these again!
