| Life (4-12-68) |
 | Life (4-12-68) This is the very rare alternate cover of the same LIFE magazine (above) with the addition of the "Goodbye to Gagarin" article. Instead of Martin Luther King on the cover, it featured Lyndon B. Johnson and the story about how he shocked the nation by announcing that he would not run for reelection. Everything else is the same including The Doors article. This alternate cover issue was sent to certain mid-west states where it wasn't appropriate for King to be on the cover in attempts not to offend anyone. Cond: Exc+ |
