'The Paris Journal' by Jim Morrison

The Paris Journal
Soft cover, 150 pages. This 1997 limited edition booklet of only 50 privately published copies (8-1/2" x 11") contains Jim Morrison's last written words of poetry before he died in Paris in 1971. The poetry within these notebooks were amongst the items recovered from the Fascination 127 box found in SanFrancisco in the 1980's. Much of this poetry has never been read by anyone but the editors of Morrison's other two post mortem books, "Wilderness" and "The American Night". Several of the poems have been deemed pornographic by the estates now governing the written words of Morrison, so the chances of them ever being published in any other form is practically nil. About 80 of the pages are exact copies of the pages from the very same notebooks that Morrison carried around with him those last days in Paris; the rest of the pages are scribed in a document experts handwriting who was hired by the once owner to copy down verbatim the precious faded words from the 31 year old composition notebook...Morrison's words were so badly faded that they could no longer be replicated on a copy machine. So meticulously were the notebooks transcribed that every notation no matter how minute was replicated in the new pages. Cond: M
