| 'Jim Morrison: Dark Star' by Dylan Jones |

|
Jim Morrison: Dark Star Hard cover w/ dust jacket. Out of print. Nice over-sized coffee table book with a fine range (over 130!) of B&W and colour photographs which themselves show most graphically Morrison's fall from Adonis of the Pop Charts to his numbed and overweight suicide. This extensively researched biography explores the reality behind the myth of Morrison. Interviews with family, fellow musicians, and friends result in a highly personal portrait of a man whose self destructive life style ran parallel with his irrepressible creativity. Cond: Exc+

| 'Jim Morrison Is Absolutely Alive' by Richard T. Rossberg |

| 'Jim Morrison Is Absolutely Alive' SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR! Soft cover. Novel
This book is set in 2000 when Rossberg discovers and befriends a quiet stranger living in the Roadhouse apartments. Curiosity leads him to find out more about his man as a friendship develops and the two embark on adventures together. Over time, Rossberg wonders if the urban legend about Jim Morrison being alive could be true and if this new mysterious friend could be the rock legend.
This riveting read digs deep beyond the artificial techno-world of television and computers to the vast surroundings of Montana and the great mysteries that may be unearthed if we let ourselves discover them. The book is reminiscent of stories by the late great Hunter S. Thompson, which blurred the distinctions between writer and subject, fiction and non fiction: Fans of Jim Morrison and the Doors, will clearly relate to the parallels between the two characters.
The use of poetry in this novel, gives credence to the character in true Morrison form, as the underlying plot unveils. Rossberg engages the reader from the start as he flirts with dangerous compelling situations which seem all too real. Cond: Mint

| 'Jim Morrison: Life, Death, Legend' by Stephen Davis |

|
Jim Morrison: Life, Death, Legend Hard cover w/ dust jacket. Attractive photograph on jacket but that's where the attraction stops. The book draws on, and often repeats errors from, earlier books. The sensational is highlighted; sources are lacking. The latter is especially frustrating regarding the vocalist/poet's personal journals. Granted, the book offers some original research on Morrison's Paris. But while dedicated to Morrison the book is subjective and critical. Lucky "no one here gets out alive" 'cause if Jim (that's Jim not "Jimmy") could read this one he'd be more than disappointed. Cond: Exc+

An excellent classy book in its very own slide case. Definitely a must-have for any Jim Morrison / Doors fan! | 'Jim Morrison's Adventures in the Afterlife' by Mick Farren |

| Jim Morrison's Adventures in the Afterlife First edition hard cover w/ dust jacket. Out of print. The author pairs Jim Morrison with the evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson, with whom he whoops it up in the afterlife. He also encounters such famous dead people as Dylan Thomas, Jesus, and Moses. Possessed of an imagination that rivals that of any of our edgiest fantasists, steeped in the detritus and ephemera of three decades of pop culture, Mick Farren has crafted in this new novel a bizarre and compelling fantasia. Jim Morrison's ADVENTURES IN THE AFTERLIFE is just that: the story of Morrison, the dark yet naive Lizard King, as he hurtles through a purgatory-like afterlife in search of some way to bring his soul to peace.
