I/We, the undersigned, petition the Governor of Florida to immediately reverse the conviction in
Case #69-2355 (State of Florida vs. James Morrison). A review of the actual facts of this case, as
opposed to the lies and misstatements that surround it, constitutes the grounds for reversal. This
Nixonian orchestrated conviction directed at silencing dissent was a clear denial of
constitutionally guaranteed freedoms. It was a denial of rights protected under the 1st, 8th and
14th Amendments of the U.S. Constitution and was a woeful misuse of judicial power. The matter had
a far-reaching impact not only on Mr. Morrison, but also The Doors as a group, and must be
addressed. The petitioners know that you will wish to demonstrate your own dedication to fairness,
and adherence to the laws of this Nation and I/We request that you address this issue immediately.
